| > Jubilee!JAM 2007 |
This is just a reminder that JubileeJam is THIS weekend (Friday, June 15th - Saturday, June 16th).
Not only will the music, food, drinks, atmosphere, etcetera be amazing, but mixedCore will also have a booth set up in the Collective artists market. There should be signs directing you to this. Many local artists will be represented here so make sure to check it out.
If anyone can come by and pass out flyers, that would extremely appreciated. We have loads of these little cards that we need to hand out during the festival to try and get more contributors to help grow this community. If you can make it, send me an email or just show up!
I will also have 2 of my latest series of artwork available for purchase or signseeing, so please check that out as well!
Hope to see everyone this weekend.

| > Contributors |
mixedCore continually needs contributors (young, local artists) so please please send in some of your artwork if you haven't already to art@mixedcore.com
There are still many schools without representatives, so if you know of a school without one (listed on the site) and someone that would be willing to server, email reps@mixedcore.com
(Once the fall semester starts up again, we are going to hit all Jackson area schools for a REP CALL, so don't wait!) |
| > Upcoming project ideas? |
In the near future, we will be trying to gather up some artists to participate in a collaborative installation in the Jackson area. If you have any ideas or would like to consider becoming part of this group, email contact@mixedcore.com to express your interest. |

| >[re]birth of mixedCore[by Clay Hardwick] |
mixedCore has official been reborn! Welcome to the new home for an urban, fresh-beat artistic community centralized in jackson, mississippi. This community is focused on an under 21 age group (but not restricted to) of motivated artists that want to actively contribute to the growing activity found in the urban mix of this city.
This is the first newsletter available to anyone that is either a contributor, representative, or simply interested in mixedCore. We will try to send these out periodically, but without a definate schedule. As we get updates, you will be the first to know.
This newsletter will mainly consist of the following:
- a featured artist, piece of artwork, or video
- list of additions to the mC site since the last newsletter
- listings of important events, shows, or happenings related to mC
- an article or two by various contributors regarding culture and the arts relavent to readers.
- suggested reading, listening, viewing, living (this means one newsletter may have a listing of recommended places to see public art, or good books to read, or music to download, or links to check out, etcetera.) we are open to YOUR suggestions here.
mixedCore is an open community, which means that it is not intended to be run or organized by a narrow point of view or people. It is not an exclusive group to only certain types of people. Anyone who wants to be part of this group simpily can be, just by independently deciding upon this themselves. With this said, it also relies on its contributors and supporters. Please understand that participation, involvement, and interaction within this group as well as the rest of the community is vital!
